From time to time we have vacancies for specific positions that we post on this section of our website. Most frequently these are in either the sales or editorial departments.
In the editorial department, we typically recruit additional managing editors, specialist editors, business writers and production staff.
The business writers produce news items, articles, features, case studies and various series such as Directors' Briefing. They also update content and contribute to our bespoke publishing contracts. The key is to be able to communicate complex issues in a straightforward way. Experience in writing for the web is an advantage.
Our managing editors are responsible for all aspects of a bespoke publishing contract, from writing the initial tender, to commissioning in-house and external writers, and instructing freelance designers. They also commission our own-brand material. We also have specialist editors, who are responsible for particular types of publication.
All editorial posts require a good degree or post-graduate qualification in journalism as well as experience of working for a business publication. Managing editor applicants will also need commissioning experience. Working closely with the account managers and with our clients, you will need to be able to respond quickly and accurately to a client’s requirements.
We operate out of two offices: one in Bristol, the other in south west London, close to Wandsworth Common railway station.
