Andrew Brode - Chairman

Andrew became non-executive chairman of BHP in 1997. He was managing director of listed publisher Wolters Kluwer (UK) from 1977 to 1990, during which time the company’s annual sales revenue grew from £1m to £80m. Since then he has run several successful companies, notably Eclipse. He is currently the executive chairman and majority shareholder of the AIM-listed company RWS Holdings plc, one of the world’s largest patent translation and search companies.

Rory set up BHP in 1991 with a vision to provide small and medium-sized businesses with practical advice, having seen so many of them fail unnecessarily. He started his career with 3i, in the venture capital industry.

Lisa leads development and production of BHP’s bespoke projects and readymade solutions. As well as managing the ten-strong editorial team, she works closely with key clients and partners. Lisa joined BHP from university in 1997.

Alison is responsible for our meticulous recruitment processes and staff training that has produced the highly skilled, experienced and committed team we have today. She previously worked as an investment banker.

Christoff’s role is to build our relationships with existing clients and develop new markets. Most of his career has been in publishing, including several years as the director of international sales for Hodder Headline.

Ian is responsible for all of BHP's marketing. He works on both internal and client projects. Ian has held positions in both small and corporate businesses in the public and private sector. He has significant experience marketing to small businesses and leading digital marketing strategy.
